Emotionsoflife & Mimosa Pudica: Symbolism

Last year, my dear friend Manuel and I started to write poetry together. To me he is a master with words, especially transposing feelings into beautiful lines. Always very patient with me, since English isn’t my native language and well, I can be stubborn 😉 This time Manuel suggested the topic Symbolism, forwarded me the first paragraph, I read it and then the words started to appear through my fingers as if I do this for years… His ongoing support and faith in my ability, reinforced my confidences on so many levels. Symbolism

 

Symbolism all around us,

Do you wish to discuss?

There is much more meaning behind a circle,

Everything has a meaning and a purpose.

Don’t lose sight of the symbolism,

Acknowledge your own metal schism.

 

Peace brought to us by a dove

A heart will remind you of love

The white flag waved to surrender

There is even a symbol for a defender

Is symbolism also in the danger zone?

Like wisdom of the past, kicked down the throne?

 

Yes, there are some connected to negativity

Related to evil, keeping us in captivity

Can we let go of those and reconquer

The healing power of symbols, and be stronger?

Let’s start re-using the anchor, thumbs up, the dove

The strong meaning behind that heart…love

 

Symbolism all around us,

Let’s acknowledge it’s plus!
